If the assessee does not have an internet banking account can somebody else pay the tax on his behalf through his internet abnking account?
also can the taxes be paid through one's credit card?

There is no bar in using other's banking channel. Preferably, account of the other person should be squared up the same day.
Tax payment through credit card, though proposed, is not yet available.

Perfectly said, there is no option of credit card payments yet although there it makes sense in paying through credit card as it is nothing but internet banking.
