duty on textile machinery

09 February 2009 Sir,

Some textile machinery were imported during 2006-07 and 2007-08.

We are not sure about the correct duty rates for the imports during

that period. The machineries were charged under 8445 20 13.

What are the applicable rates? Is any additional duty payable on these imports?

kindly clarify.

10 February 2009 u mentioned that u imported in 2006-07 & 2007-08,

firstly, without paying total duty they will not release the consignment at customs.

u can verify bill of entry copy, in that duty structure would be mentioned.
