Duty difference

This query is : Resolved

06 July 2012 I have exported two consignments in the month of April and june respectively with 10% duty mentioned in my invoice and ARE-1 instead of 12%. Now i want to claim rebate for the same as both the consignments were exported under the claim of rebate. So what problems can occur in the same? and what is the solution for the same?

09 July 2012 If duty calculation is @ of 12% then you can claim the rebate at rate of 12% because 10% is a typographical mistake.

14 July 2012 Sir duty is also calculated at 10% only then wht consequences can ocur????

17 August 2012 you will be served scn for diff of duty with int and penalty,

however the amount of export invoice, cleared through ARE-1 would be granted to you as rebate, in a whole your loss would be 2%+CESS + interest.

act faster and pay the diff under supervision of range officer, to save the penalty proceedings.
