19 November 2010 Dear Experts,
Plz advice me.
We want to send our product for sample testing.After receiving approval from them,we will be able to sale our product to them.

Further, That is an excixable product and no payment will be received agst that sample product.

My Query is "whether excise would be laviable on such sale. If Yes then why???"

23 November 2010 if the sample product is coming back after the testing, you can send it under a returnable Delivery Challan with out payment of duty. Otherwsie the samples have to be cleared under an invoice on payment of duty on the value adopted for home cosumption..(i.e, actaul cost of sample + 10% as margin)

I think Mr. Prabhakar"s idea is wrong. Please remember that there is no special system for clear the sample. And for your finish goods you can not send the goods with DELIVERY CHALLAN. For this what is the procedure kindly write me in rd10234@gmail.com
