29 October 2009 Hii Friends,

One of our clients is holding duplicate pan due to lack of knowledge.please suggest a remedy for the same without attracting penalty of Rs. 10,000

29 October 2009 submit the pan and a letter stating that the mistake was not made delibrately and no unreasonable benefit is obtained fro the other PAN

29 October 2009 Fill up the Sl No. 10 of " Request for New PAN/Change or correction in PAN data" Form and alongwith the letter as advised by expert Monmohan and submit to UTISL or other facilitation centre.

29 October 2009 or else you can surrender the duplicate PAN at this link http://www.sparshitax.net/pan/newPAN.asp

complete the full formalities & at the last you will see the request for surrender of PAN has been completed successfully.

Forgot to mention that after successful completion of surrender process just take the printout of the same for your record.
