Will the due date of filing of return of income of 31st October 2022 of the persons who were required to furnish audited financials which was extended to 7th October from 30th September will also be extended to 7th November or will it be same (i.e. 31st October itself)

Sir won't that notification of extension of 7 days of furnishing of reports automatically extend due date of filing of income tax returns as well?

No, the extension was only for filing TAR, as per the request by ALL INDIA FEDERATION OF TAX PRACTITIONERS to extend the date for a month.

CBDT Income Tax Circular 19/2022 dt. 30/09/2022:
Extension of timeline for filing of various reports of audit for the Assessment Year 2022-23
On consideration of difficulties faced by the taxpayers and other stakeholders in electronic filing of various reports of audit under the provisions of the Income-tax Act,1961 (Act), the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), in exercise of its powers under Section 119 of the Act, extends the due date of furnishing of report of audit under any provision of the Act for the Previous Year 2021-22, which was 30/09/2022 in the case of assessees referred in clause (a) of Explanation 2 to sub-section (1) of section 139 of the Act, to 07/10/2022.

Ok thanks alot sir. I was confused whether 1 month from the date of furnishing of reports under section 44AB will be the due date of filing of their respective returns.
