In case of deduction by or on behalf of Govt.: on the same day.
In case of others:
for Sec 192 & sec.194BB:
Within one week from the last day of the month in which tax is deducted.
B)other then sec 192 & 194BB:
1 Within one week from the last day of the month in which tax is deducted.
2 If the amount is credited to the account of payee on the last day of the accounting year, within 2 months from the end of the month in which credit is made
Last date for deposit PF challan is 15th of every month but grace period is 5. You can deposit till 20th. . However, no penalty is imposed if the same is paid within 20th (ie, 5 days are given grace)However if you fail to pay it on 20th, then penalty, damages etc will be calculated from 16th day of the return month.
For ESI, the last date for payment of contributions pertaining to a wage month is 21st of the succeeding month.
