For direct tax its a Perfect Choice...
And IDT ylou can go for Padhuka also..
Also since you have time for the exams, you can refer to recent case laws.
As you told u love to study in deep than my advice is start with DT as there are around 800 pages. so it wil take time for you to complete...
One more advice.. But AHuja which is available in 2 parts.... :)
