Download of justification report from traces

29 March 2014 Hi,

Recently we got a 234E notice for interest on late payment and short deduction. I am trying to download Justification report, but it is showing "Invalid challan details".

My questions are :
1. How to select a correct challan to download the justification report?
2. how to select the PAN combinations from that challan?

29 March 2014 While entering the details you must put all the information in the given format like challan serial no. should be in 5 digit etc. You can take any challan for the given TDS return. But still try to choose challan that has at least 3 distinct PAN. So entry those PAN and enter the relevant TDS amount for those. If the the challan does not have 3 PAN then you should put all the PAN's in the asked information.

It should validate the challan and your request should get accepted.
