Pls can u tell me what does Double Taxation in Income Tax Act mean?

Taxing the same income twice. Eg profit taxed in the hands of the company and then taxed again when the same profit is distributed as dividend to the shareholders. Profit taxed in the hands of the firm and its partners etc.

its mean that income shouldnt be taxed twice and its not imp in wos hands it is taxed
