double acknowledgement numbers received on e filing

20 October 2008 I was e-filing ITR 1. Firstly, the xml file was not uploaded and computer displayed INTERNAL SEVERE ERROR.

So I again e-filed the xml file.

But , to my surprise, I have received two acknowledgement numbers.

What should I do now??

15 November 2008 First log in to Income tax website and access the assessee account. Then go to option my account and then click on "My Return" option. Now You can see the both numbers there. Now download both the returns. I am sure that the acknowledgement for without xml file will be blank. Download both the returns and which one is correct, submit that with your Income tax Office. The copy you will deposit will be the final and other one will be rejected automatically.
