08 June 2011 We are a ltd. co. and want to pay dividend for financial year 2010-11. So we want to declare the same in upcoming AGM on 30.09.11.
Is it ok to pay dividend for 2010-11 in sep. 2011?
And whether we have to show the amount of such dividend in the balance sheet for the year 2010-11 as proposed dividend?
Plz clarify & oblige.

08 June 2011 I think the AGM should be held in September, 2011 and not 2012. Yes, proposed dividend is to be booked in FY 2010-11 and may be paid if resolved in AGM.
