Dear Sir,
Please help me know if income due to dividend on Shares & Mutual Funds are exempt from Tax for AY 2013-14.

i) Dividend is exempted if payer has paid dividend distribution tax. Ref:- section 10(34) of the Income tax Act,1961.
ii) Income from mutual fund is tax free. Ref:- section 10(35) of the above said act.
ii) Income from mutual fund is tax free. Ref:- section 10(35) of the above said act.
