Can some one tell me Calculation of dividend with proper example in case company has issue new share capital in mid year

In case of prefrence shares only the dividend for the year is to be calculated seperately.
Otherwise, in case of equity shares, dividend is paid for full year only. The concept of pro rata dividend is not applicable now. Hence, shareholders as on record date will be eligible for dividend for the year.
