Is any director required to be a shareholder of a private company?
if yes then the what is the minimum number of directors who are required to remain as members?

Check the AOA of the Company. If it states any minimum number of shares to be held by a person to hold directiorship then atleast that much he should acquire otherwise the director need not be a shareholder of the company.
