I have a small Doubt about director ship of a person in a PVT LTD company i.e. CAN A PERSON WITHOUT HAVING ANY SHARES BECOME A DIRECTOR of that company "plz clarify" its urgent

02 July 2011 It depends on the Articles of Association of a particular company whether it has a directors share qualification clause or not.

03 July 2011 Yes, a person can become Director of Private Company without holding any shares.Also section 270 of Companies act which speaks about qualification shares does not apply to a Private Company unless it is a subsdiary of Public Company.
