Dilema of group -1 or group - 2 of ca final

15 June 2014 I have my CA final attempt due on Nov 2015.
And, i am in a situation where i can only attempt one group at a time. So, I really want to know which group should I start preparing first? Coz 2nd group will help me in my articleship training (DT & IDT). But, overhaul is predicted in them. And, group-1 wont help me that much in training.

So, which group should i start preparing for?

15 June 2014 i am not sure what is the basis of yur dilemma. you must have completed atleast 2 years of articleship by now. So, should it not be reverse - articleship exposure should help you in writing your exams and not the other way around.

if you have done your articleship sincerely, though I do have doubts about it, any exposure to audit should help you in group 1 in accounts, audit and law...articleship in tax side should help you in DT and IDT...any use of computers or IT audit should help you in ISCA.

15 June 2014 Well i cant discus the personal issues on public portal. And i am asking about which group do prepare for first on the basis of upcoming amendments and changes in course, and benfecial for articleship.

Need a specific reply, not a vague reply.

opinion about Group 1 or Group 2? and Why?

15 June 2014 disregarding the third point (beneficial for articleship), I would suggest that you go for group 1 first in Nov 14 because by May 2015 company law, audit and accounts will go for much more drastic changes...

whereas, DT and IDT wont go for any big change as in May 2015, finance act 2014 will apply (no chance of DTC)..and same is applicable for GST...GST still far away from being a reality.
