30 July 2014 I am facing the problem in New PAN application of Registered Society under Societies Act,1860.

So I want to know under which category i have to apply PAN i.e. AOP or AOP(Trust)?
and also want to know the difference between AOP & AOP(Trust)

Thank you.

16 November 2016 AOP and BOI are interchangeable used and AOP & BOI are taxed as Individuals. AOP (Trust) is trust created by an instrument being a trust deed created under a legal obligation settling some property for the benefit of beneficiaries and the trustees named to carry out the mandate under the instrument of trust. Fourth letter of PAN would be "T" for AOP (T) and for AOP it is "A". Taxation is similar but for special privileges get it registered fulfilling prov. of S.80G/11&12,10. .
