03 January 2010 What is the difference between imprisonment & prosecution as per law.

What is the difference between Adjourment & postponed or postponement as per law.

The offences under the act are criminal offences give rise to imprisonment for a term or fine or both. What do u mean by for a term.

WIth the examples.


04 January 2010 Imprisonment means behind the bars (physically)

Prosecution means a case is going on against you. (you may or may not be behind the bars)

Postponed is a general term while the adjournment genrally is used for proceedings, meetings etc.

Term means term of imprisonment
