14 March 2008 sir What is the difference between Revenue and income

14 March 2008 revenue may be generated from ordinary or non-ordinary type of transaction whereas income means which occurs during the course of normal business

14 March 2008 WHAT IS GENERATED FROM NORMAL BUSINESS OPERATIOS IS INCOME.
WHERE AS REVENUE INCLUDES ANY GENERATION OF MONEY FROM NORMAL OR OTHER SOURCES OF NON BUSINESS OPERATIONS ALOSO.
FOR example. SALES FROM MANUFACTURING OPERATIONS IS BUSINESS INCOME WHERE AS INT. ON F.D, SALE OF WASTE OR SCRAP,INCOME FROM SPECULATION ETC.. ARE NON BUSINESS INCOME BUT ARE PART OF TOTAL REVENUE GENERATED.
