diff b/w tax invoice and commercial invoice

21 October 2008 can any body tell me the difference b/w tax invoice and commercial invoice.
Is it olny for legal and administrative(accounts) reectively or is there such other intention behind it.
Why do we need to prepare both these when both have (commonly) same particulars

21 October 2008 The tax invoices are used based on which credit for CENVAT is taken by the customer. Commercial invoice is for the payment of sale proceeds.
