Dfia license - registration and verification

12 May 2012 We are having one DFIA license with transferability letter. Now we want to sell it. The person who is going to buy from us is asking us to "register & verify" this DFIA license. Kindly let me know the formalities for the same. Port of registration mentioned in the license is chennai seaport. EO completed through bangalore airport. Please advise how to register and how to verify the license

12 May 2012 A Duty Free Import Authorisation is issued to allow duty free import of inputs which are used in the manufacture of the export product (making normal allowance for wastage), and fuel, energy, catalyst etc. which are consumed or utilised in the course of their use to obtain the export product. However, the Director General of Foreign Trade, by means of Public Notice, may in public interest, exclude any product(s) from the purview of this scheme.
