I want to raise a query regarding depreciation calculation in case of assets whose cost & date of purchase is not available with the assessee. Please suggest me a way of dealing with such a situation.

I think in that case you can take the help of back calculation and as per the percentage calculation you should see how much % you already claim and in how many years. And an estimate need to be taken from the returns filed with it department.
