DUTY ENTITLEMENT PASS BOOK IN SHORT IT IS AN EXPORT INCENTIVE SCHEME, THE DEPB SCHEME CONSISTED OF (A) POST- EXPORT DEPB AND (B) PRE-EXPORT DEPB. THE PRE-EXPORT DEPB SCHEME WAS ABOLISHED W.E.F. 1/4/2000. UNDER THE POST-EXPORT DEPB, WHICH IS ISSUED AFTER EXPORTS, THE EXPORTER IS GIVEN
A DUTY ENTITLEMENT PASS BOOK AT A PRE-DETERMINED CREDIT ON THE FOB VALUE.
AS PER FOREIGN TRADE POLICY (2009-2014), WHEN THE GOODS EXPORTED, AFTER REALIZATION OF PAYMENTCAN RELEASED IT FROM BUYER,) EXPORTER APPROACHED IN THEIR BANK AND ASK FOR AUTHENTICATION OF BANK CERTIFICATE OF EXPORT AND REALISATION (APPENDIX-22A) OTHERWISE RLA WILL NOT MENTION ON IT TRANSFERABLE.
AS PER PARA 4.3.1, FTP 2009-2014:-
AN EXPORTER MAY APPLY FOR CREDIT, AT SPECIFIED PERCENTAGE OF FOB VALUE OF EXPORTS, MADE IN FREELY CONVERTIBLE CURRENCY. IN CASE OF SUPPLY BY A DTA UNIT TO A SEZ UNIT/SEZ DEVELOPER/CO-DEVELOPER, AN EXPORTER MAY APPLY FOR CREDIT FOR EXPORTS MADE IN FREELY CONVERTIBLE CURRENCY OR PAYMENT MADE FROM FOREIGN CURRENCY ACCOUNT OF SEZUNIT/SEZ DEVELOPER/CO-DEVELOPER. IN ADDITION, THE EXPORTER SHALL ALSO BE ENTITLED FOR DEPB BENEFIT IN CASE PAYMENT IS MADE IN INDIAN RUPEES BY SEZ DEVELOPER/CO-DEVELOPER FOR SUPPLIES RECEIVED W.E.F 10.2.2006.
FORMALITIES OF ISSUANCE THIS LICENSE:-
EP COPY, BILL OF LADING AND BRC SUBMIT IN OFFICE OF CONCERNED REGIONAL LICENSING AUTHORITY, WITH PRESCRIBED FEE. OF 2.50 RS PER THOUSANDS IF DIGITAL KEY AVAILABLE OTHERWISE 5 RS. PER ONE THOUSAND FEES WILL BE.
Validity of this licence is 24 months.
