06 December 2008 Can eny one please suggest in simple term what is mean by DEPB in export sence ?????

& what is procedure of receveing DEPB lisence Customs

06 December 2008 DEPB means Duty Entitlement Pass Book,
1) firstly u have to export under this scheme, i.e. at the time of filling shipping bill u have to metion in the invoice (which u file at customs).

2) once your export is over, after getting shipping bills from customs, u have to submit EP COPY, DEPB COPY AND BRC along with DEPB application at you respected DGFT. If everything goes right u will received the DEPB licence.

I didn't understand what is "receveing DEPB lisence Customs".

I am heard that DEPB lisence is trafarable

if Yes , then Can you also suggest what is the procedure of tranfering DEPB lisence from one co. to another

01 February 2009 DEPB license is transferrable. It can be transferred like any goods. The procure for transfer is endorsement on the license.There are many persons who deals in DEPB licenses. You can easily sell your licenses through them.
