Dematerialisation of Shares of Private Cos

This query is : Resolved

20 July 2010 Please let me know wheather shares of private limited company can be dematerialised wih NSDL if yes give its procedure.

21 July 2010 Any company whether listed or unlisted can opt for dematerialisation of its shares by submitting an application to the Depository and by submitting the necessary documents as provided therein and by entering in to a tripartite agreement with NSDL or CDSL. The Company has to appoint an R & T Agent for this purpose.

NSDL & CSDL both of them permit the unlisted listed companies to go for dematerialisation.

If it is a listed company it is compulsory to get it registered with both NSDL and CDSL otherwise agreement with any one depository is sufficient

21 July 2010 thnx Richa
