10 May 2012 AN INYERNATIONAL BIDDER (FOREIGN CONTRATOR)TAKES UP THE ORDERS IN INDIA AND WANT TO TAKE MATERIAL FROM US (AS WE ARE THE INDIAN MANUFACTURE AN LEADING MANUFACTURE OF CABLE IN INDIA)TO SUPPLY IN INDAIN PROJECT
BY SUPPLY CAN WE GET ANY DEEMED EXPORT BENEFIT OR EXCISE DUTY EXCEMPTION ETC

PLEASE ADVISE

10 May 2012 ‘Deemed Exports’ as defined in the Export and Import Polilcy, 1997-2002 means those transactions in which the goods supplied do not leave the country and the supplier in India receives the payment for the goods. It means the goods supplied need not go out of India to treat them as ‘Deemed Export.
