Deduction u/s 80c

22 February 2012 sir, I want to know whether annual charges , arrear fees ,curriculam facilitation fees, stationery charges , funtion humara munch those type of expenses included in tution fees for deduction in 80c.

22 February 2012 Arrear fees I suppose is late payment fees. If it is then it is not allowed. Annual charges is allowed as deduction. Stationery charges are not allowed as deduction.

Can you please explain the nature of the other 2 fees

22 February 2012 I dont think the above charges will be allowed. Only the charges pertaining to tuition fees will be allowed u/s 80C. No other type of charge can be claimed as deduction.

22 February 2012 All these charges including development fees are not eligible for deduction u/s 80C. ONLY TUTION FEES AMOUNT IS COVERED U/S 80C
