dec salary when tds return to be filed

Respected Sir,
Our's is private ltd. co.
we have paid dec 2010 salary on 7th jan so when is quarterly tds return to be filed on 15th jan date or 15th may due date
sir we have filled tds challan before 7th feb 2011 & 15th jan due date has already gone so we have to file it now as late return or on 15th may 2011 due date
please provide me guidance

You can show it in last quarter. No problem in that.

TDS due date will depend upon the due date of your salary payment if it is on or before the last day of the current month then you have to pay TDS with 7 days of next month. Similarly if your due date of salary payment is after the end of the current month then your due date will be 7th of next month.For ex if due date is 30th of Jan and payment of salary made is on 5th of feb., the TDS has to be paid by 7th of Feb. If the due date for jan salary is 5th Feb then you can pay tds by 7th March. Accordingly, the TDS return has to be filed.
