Dear All
If a Director is appointed u/s 260 then when will he retire from his office?
Say Date of Appoinment is
1) 20 June 2007
Will it matter if no AGM is held during 2007 & 2008 ?
To put it straight
A Ramaiya says that he should retire on due Date of AGM [ If AGM is not held he can not continue in his office ]
Do you support this view ?

Dear Shantanu
First of all u should have a AGM every year within 6 months from the close of A/c or 15 months from last AGM whichever is earlier. in case of first AGM its 9 months and 18 months from incorpn respectively.
As far as 260 is concerned AD ceased to be the Director at the next AGM unless confirmed by members.
