13 August 2018 During Registration, A column asks for date of commencement of business, if my head quarter is in bhopal and i want to get a fresh gst registration in patna as a branch then what date of commencement of business i should i have to fill?

14 August 2018 You are intimating to your jurisdictional officer about the date from which operations have been started, which will help the Officer to determine tax liability from date of your operations, allow input tax credit of inward invoices and for assessment

14 August 2018 If my HQ is in Bhopal from 1st sept. 2014 and i want to open my new branch office in patna(business yet not started in patna) then in case of date of commencement of business, can i mention 1st Sep 2014 ??

16 August 2018 NO, you should not mention 1st Sept 2014 as date of commencement for Patna Branch.
The day you start business at Patna, specify that date. As per GST law, any branches outside a particular state is a distinct identity.
