15 January 2009 i m planing to start a data entry firm (partneship firm with 2 person) i ll be working for a firm from usa and i ll be having a contract with an Indian firm
and i ll be paid via cheque aprox rs 3 lacks per month
i specially wanna ask u regarding taxes aplicable:
service tax
tds
income tax
employes saleries or dily wages

26 January 2009 Service tax is applicable as service is provided in india.

The contracted indian firm will be treated as permanent establishement in india for your usa firm and income tax is payable and TDS is applicable.
