Can any one describe the procedures / methods for Declaration of MRP for IMPORT Items. What are the goods needs MRP declaration.

DEAR MR PRAMEEJ,
MRP COMPLIANCE IS REQUIRED FOR IMPORTED GOODS ONLY WHEN BELOW TWO CRITERIAS ARE MET
1. IF UNDER LMPC RULE THERE IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT TO DECLARE MRP AND
2. THE ITEM IS NOTIFIED FOR MRP BASED DUTY UNDER SEC 4A OF CENTRAL EXCISE ACT
IF YOUR CASE, CLOCK WATCHES THERE IS A REQUIREMENT TO DECLARE MRP AS PER LMPC RULE AND ALSO YOUR ITEMS IS NOTIFED FOR MRP BASED DUTY
VIDE NOTIFICATION NO 49/2008 OF CENTRAL EXCISE.
SO YOU NEED TO DECLARE MRP OF THE BOXES AND ALSO NEED TO PAY MRP BASED CVD.
WITH REGARD TO METHOD OF DECLARATION , PL CHECK LEGAL METROLOGY( PACKAGEC COMMODITES) RULE 2011. READ THAT AND REVERT IF YOU HAVE ANY QUERY.
