There was an amendment made in Finance Act 2008 for CST.The same is approved with some modification on 10 may 2008.
What is CST % for the year?
Wheteher it 3 or 2%?

The CST rate is 2% as amended in the Finance Bill.

Hi Monil,
As quoted from the budget, CST and a Roadmap towards GST:
Central Sales Tax rate being reduced from 3 per cent to 2 per cent from
April 1, 2008.

The CST rate is proposed to be reduced by way of a notification. The notification is yet to be issued.
The CST rate(against Form C) is 3%.

I AGREE WITH SRI NAIK.2% PROPOSED CST CAN ONLY BE CLAIMED WEF DATE OF GAZETTE NOTIFICATION GY GOI.
