Credit of excise duty

16 January 2013 sir , we are exporting wheat and for packing we purchase jute bags on which the seller charges excise duty.
can we claim credit of this excise duty paid as we will export them.??
and how we can claim.??

we are just trader of wheat...
even then excise duty in the above case can be refunded to us.???

16 January 2013 You can take the refund of excise duty paid on jute bags for the purpose of export.

SO that the seller should not charge excise duty from us.??

16 January 2013 A manufacturer of export goods can get his inputs without payment of central excise duty under rule 19(2) of central excise rule 2002 even if final product is exempt from excise duty.

16 January 2013 sir i think wheat is not covered in final product as we are just traders not manufacturers.
i am getting very confused.
but i am not sure in this regard thats why need your help
