18 July 2013 our client takes benefit of vat on diesal as input credit.

our client is a reputed firm in baddi.. is there any provision that allow it

18 July 2013 Diesel is not an input as per rule 2(k),cenvat credit rules hence no credit is allowed.

Yes it is a direct exp.
