24 May 2013 I have been registered as Associate member from September 2012 .I have not taken cop.For member not in practice cpe requirement is min 10 hours each year and 45 hours in rolling period of 3 years current rolling period is 2011-2013. Does that mean that I have to complete all 45 hours in 2013 itself or just have to complete minimum 10 hours in 2013?. Please guide me .Thanks in advance.

Even I had the same query, since i was enrolled in May 2012. I asked at the Mumbai Office and they told me that i will have to fulfill the requirement of 10 hours in case of 2013 and the proportionate requirement for 2012.
so i have completed 8 hours for 2012.

24 May 2013 Thank you so much Ankit.But as far I Know Complying with Cpe Requirement is exempted in year of enrollment Please guide me if I'm wrong. I'm little bit confused. What is this proportionate Requirement.

24 May 2013 proportionate in you case means 5 hours. Since you became a member in september, you were effectively a member for 6 months or half a year.
hence, the CPE requirement will also be proportionately reduced to half the requirement...i.e. 5 hours

24 May 2013 You are welcome...I dont think so...coz she very clearly said that you have to do it proportionately
but now, since the year has already gone past, you can inquire with the institute...

24 May 2013 Sorry for bothering you again can you please guide me how we decide hours for unstructured learning e.g how many hours are allotted for reading ca journal etc.

24 May 2013 no no..its ok...I dont think they allow hours for reading..they do so for solving the crosswords in the journal...
1hour per month.. for that, you have to fill up the unstructured learning formn and submit it with the institiute.
if you are from mumbai, you can get the form from RVG in andheri west and submit it there
