Costing of auto parts manufacturing company

Dear Sir,
Please help me in Costing the products of the company, the company under consideration is a auto parts manufacturing company, how i should start doing costing of the products, material costing, labour costing & overhead costing, what costing period i should select in rising prices regime, or i should do costing for a particular batch when the orders are processed in a batch , i want to do reconciliation of costing done with financial accounts as well. please guide me
