I have 10000 Shares of A company and as a result of scheme of arrangement i got 4000 shares of B company.
Now how should i account for this transaction?
I need to know at what amount 4000 shares should be account for?

The cost incurred by you for purchasing 10000 shares of A Company will be cost of shares of 4000 of B Company.
In list of Investment only change the name of Company and number of shares.
