28 February 2013 one of my relative has sold inherited urban agriucltural land.now for computing capital gain what any other way to compute cost of the land as no one knows who acquired the property and actual cost of acquition.

28 February 2013 you can adopt the municipal value as on 1.4.80 if the property is acquired before 1980. in other cases you must take the cost of purchase as cost of acquisition.
