We are in the business of manufacturing of Aluminium Conductors and Aluminium wire Rod. Please clarify whether Cost Audit is mandatory to our company or not

26 May 2012 Dear Raju,

Manufacture of Aluminium Conductors and Aluminium wire rod is covered under cost audit provided any one of the following conditions is satisfied.

1) If the turnover of the business from the sale or supply of all products/activities for the Financial Year 2011-12 exceeds 100 crores or

2) The company’s equity or debt securities are listed in a stock exchange or in the process of being listed in any stock exchange whether in India or outside India.
