A property buyer booked a flat in 2006, paying in full. The agreement was later registered in 2021 with an escalation amount, and TDS was deducted. An oversight in 2025 led to an incorrect TDS payment on the final instalment, resulting in an intimation under section 200A for a differential TDS amount. The buyer has filed a 26QB correction and is seeking advice on the likelihood of AO approval, with the understanding that the AO typically corrects challans based on previous payments and the registered agreement.
