Dear friends,
iam a ca final student going to appear in final in nov 13. I have completed my articleship. Iam presently working in a ca firm. Please tell me whether if i join a company's accounts or finance department, whether the work will be the same as the work in a ca firm? If different, please tell me how to handle the job which you have never done before.

work in a corporate office will be different. Depending on the size of the accounting team, your work may include day to day accounting, taxation positions- indirect and direct, tax filings, fund raising, costing etc.
How to handle a new job - the same way u did when u started articleship. Be professional. spend time on learning things. and have an active involvement in things. Don't do things in a cursory manner.

However, in firm you may have overall exposure of working in fields like Tax and Accounts..
Whereas in Company you will get internal exposure,
In firm you learn things in company you will have experience,
Experience of working in a Company will add an another star in your resume...
