03 February 2014 Hi there.
Doubt :CA final Syllabus and its applicability.
Companies bill 2013 has been made an Act after the said notification was published in official gazette in 2013, last year, and ICAI has made it clear that the said Act is not applicable in May 14 exams.
What about Nov 14?
Please help.

03 February 2014 As per ICAI Guidelines any notification, circular or rules or acts should be applicable only in exam conducted after expiry of six months from which it is published in official gazette. If ICAI don't want to give in exams then specific circular will release to notify the same. Where as 98 sections is already notified by the government in August 2013. May the ICAI will take a decision to apply this sections to November 2014.

03 February 2014 I tried to look up on institute's official website and found NO announcement as such which ENSURES students as to its applicability in Nov 14 exams.
But yes going by the logics and what you said I guess new Companies Act 2013 will be applicable to the extent of 98 sections in Nov 14 exams.
