04 July 2008 I want to know the followings : If i am woring as en employee in two concerns and getting conveyance allowance from both the employers , So i want to know that can the convyenace allowance from both the employers is exempted upto Rs. 800 X 2 = 1600.00 .

04 July 2008 No. The exemption is assessee based not employer based.

04 July 2008 Yes. I am also fully agree with the experts. The assessee will get exemption only upto Rs. 800 per month. if the conveyance allowance of the assessee from the 2 employers is less than or equal to rs. 800 then his allowance is fully exempted.
