Conversion of physical share certificate

24 March 2012 Where company issued physical shares to Father of my friend, now the father has got died!!

Now that company is listed.
My Friend wants to transmit the shares in his own name.

What will be the procedure!!
Will it be same as in case of physical transmit or else??

Its urgent!!
