Contract labour agreements

16 May 2010 My Company has engaged contract labourers from contractor who supplys labourers. The contractor provides 3-4 workers daily. But Company has not made any contract or agreement with the contractor.
When should agreement be made? Is there any limit?
Please reply urgenetly.

16 May 2010 Please prepare a contract at the earliest. Also do remember to collect the challans of ESI & PF from the contractor o/w the prinicipal employer may be liable.
