Contract labour agreements

My Company has engaged contract labourers from contractor who supplys labourers. The contractor provides 3-4 workers daily. But Company has not made any contract or agreement with the contractor.
When should agreement be made? Is there any limit?

Please prepare a contract at the earliest. Also do remember to collect the challans of ESI & PF from the contractor o/w the prinicipal employer may be liable.
