if we do not have opening consolidated balance sheet how can we prepare consolidated cashflow?

You must be preparing the consolidated statement for a period..Now you have to take Cash& Cash Equivalants at begning of that period and proceed towards Closing balance opf Cash & Cash Equivalants...Off Course you have to have Opening Consolidated Balance Sheet..
