Consideration for share transfer

Can the consideration be paid by cash for transfer of shares..? Or only through bank account..? pls clarify. Transactions is between two indivuduals.

27 August 2014 Consideration can be either paid in cash (upto Rs. 20,000) or in cheque. However, it is always advisable to pay for these transactions through cheque only.
