03 October 2013 Concatenate function is used to join multiple text,numeric strings generally upto 255 strings.
EX- if you want to apply concatenate here

A B C D
1 xyz 140 india
2 abc 123 japan
now if you want to apply concatenate with a view to see the combined values xyz,140,india in a single cell
type-
=concatenate(B2,"",C2,"",D2)
Where b2,c2,d2 are your selected cells whose value you want to combine
inverted commas are spaces
